Water Bath (Baño de Maria)


The term “Baño de Maria” which literally translates to Maria’s bath , originated in old Alexandria where a woman named Maria a local medicine woman used to prepare her concoctions in a double boiler that she designed to heat up / cook with even heat her home brewed medications so they wouldn’t burn.
